Backend Developer/Technical Lead – Hybrid (Remote + Office)

Core Backend Requirements

Ruby on Rails – minimum 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience; ability to structure and scale large Rails codebases.

PostgreSQL – strong command of relational database modeling, performance tuning, and advanced querying (e.g., JSONB, indexing).

MongoDB – familiarity with document-based modeling and hybrid database strategies.

RabbitMQ – solid understanding of message brokering patterns (e.g., pub/sub, queues, retries).

Redis – use in caching, background jobs, and pub/sub scenarios; experience with Sidekiq is a plus.
Architecture & System Design

Microservices – proven experience in designing, building, and deploying microservices, including inter-service communication and fault tolerance.

REST APIs – ability to design versioned, well-documented, secure APIs; experience with API gateways is a plus.

Event-driven Architecture – familiarity with asynchronous flows and eventual consistency.
DevOps & Environment

Comfortable working with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and managing development/testing/staging environments.

Understanding monitoring, logging, and performance profiling (e.g., Sentry, Rollbar).
Leadership & Collaboration

Hands-on coding with mentorship capabilities.

Able to conduct code reviews, pair programming, and set backend development standards.

Experience working with cross-functional teams (PAA, FE, UX, BA, DevOps).

Highly self-driven developer with strong communication skills, capable of taking full ownership of tasks and driving progress proactively without the need for constant follow-up.

Able to connect business requirements with platform capabilities and design solutions that are future-proof. Serve as a technical consultant to the product owner and represent the development team in meetings with stakeholders and prospective customers.
