Java Software Developer, Remote in Kosovo
Big Armor is searching for an experienced Java developer, based in Kosovo, to hit the ground-running on our current projects using Google Guice, REST, and PostgreSQL.
This is a fully remote full time position, expected to be 40 hours of work per week for several months – and potentially longer.
The ideal candidate will be well versed in Java and will quickly become a productive contributor. The ideal candidate will understand general software principles, not just the particulars of Java. Experience with REST, SQL, concurrency, transactions, resource management, automated testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end) and optimization manipulation is a must. This is a backend developer position.
Production-level code samples, demonstrating sound programming techniques, is a major plus!

Required Experience:
- At least 3 years, documented professional experience using Java;
- At least 3 years professional development experience using SQL;
- At least 3 years professional development experience in a professional software development setting;
- Experience implementing automated testing including unit testing, integration, and end-to-end, using test runners;
- At least 3 years of experience working in an Agile software development lifecycle environment;
- Big plus to publicly available code samples demonstrating sound programming techniques.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
