Job Description

As a Senior Technical Lead, you will take full technical ownership of complex e-commerce projects with a strong focus on PHP and JavaScript. You’ll collaborate closely with frontend and backend developers, DevOps engineers, and project managers to design scalable and maintainable web architectures tailored for modern e-commerce needs.

You are confident in making architectural decisions, establishing best practices, and building solutions that are robust, modular, and future-proof – from product listing to checkout and payment integration.

Your Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical direction of PHP and JavaScript-based e-commerce projects
  • Collaborate with project managers, frontend/backend teams, and DevOps engineers
  • Design and implement modular, scalable architectures for custom online shops
  • Develop and integrate APIs, webhooks, and service-based components
  • Define and enforce coding standards, architecture guidelines, and testing strategies
  • Mentor developers and foster a strong engineering culture within the team

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in PHP development
  • Strong proficiency in PHP and familiarity with modern MVC structures
  • Solid JavaScript skills, including experience with frontend frameworks or VanillaJS
  • Hands-on experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices
  • Familiar with Clean Code principles, SOLID, automated testing, and deployment workflows
  • Proven experience in a technical leadership role, with the ability to guide teams and make sound architectural decisions
  • Bonus: Strong understanding of e-commerce processes, including product catalogs, checkout flows, and payment integration
