Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Senior Video Editor to oversee and execute high-quality commercial and organic video content across our various social channels. As a team leader, you will guide a team of video editors in producing engaging content that elevates our video offering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of video editors.
- Oversee the post-production workflow, ensuring timely delivery of video content that aligns with brand and project goals.
- Edit video projects, including brand campaigns and organic social media content.
- Collaborate closely with Producers, Videographers and Project Management to understand briefs to deliver client requests.
- Establish and maintain post-production standards, file management, and asset organisation protocols.
- Provide creative direction during the editing process.
- Review and approve edits, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and brand integrity.
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and techniques to continually improve editing workflows and creative output.
Required Qualifications:
- Fluent English speaker.
- 5+ years of professional video editing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition) and other relevant editing software.
- Strong storytelling and editorial skills.
- Solid understanding of post-production workflows, asset management, codecs, and media formats.
- Experience working with motion graphics, sound design, and colour correction/grading.
- Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback in a collaborative environment.
- Understanding of content optimisation for different platforms.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of high-quality video work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a creative agency, production studio, or in-house content team.
- Familiarity with 3D animation or advanced motion graphics (e.g., Cinema 4D, Blender) is a plus.
